WHO CAN APPLY FOR A LEH HUNT?
Any resident of British Columbia who holds a Resident Hunter Number in good
standing may apply.A resident is:
1) a person who is a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, whose
only or primary residence is in British Columbia, and has been physically present in
British Columbia for the greater portion of each of 6 calendar months out of the
12 calendar months immediately preceding the date of making an application under
Wildlife Act or doing another thing relevant to the operation of the Wildlife Act, or
2) a person who is not a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, but
whose only or primary residence is in British Columbia, and has been physically
present in British Columbia for the greater portion of each of the 12 calendar
months immediately preceding the date of making an application under Wildlife Act
or doing another thing relevant to the operation of Wildlife Act.
Licensed junior hunters are permitted to accompany and hunt with an adult holder
of a valid LEH authorization and a valid species licence.Any big game animal killed
by the junior hunter is counted in the bag limit of the supervising adult. |
