Would like to share a few things I purchased for this hike.
Handy for tie down guy lines and tarps. Yes, you can learn how to tie a knot properly but this kit can be handy when you're trying to set up a shelter in the rain/hurry.
Trying to save weight and thinking there are many creeks along the trail. Water source is never an issue plus we don't have to worry about viruses in this part of North America. This SteriPEN is very easy and handy to use.
This is the whole setup together with a wide mouth Nalgene bottle. The package I purchased came with the filter to filter out small particles.
We do need to have a good battery source to operate the water purifier. I found this NiZn re-chargeable batteries with 1.6v capacity comes in place. Very pleased with its performance. The 1.6v is the key by comparing your regular NiMh 1.2/1.3v
Picked this deodorant wipes and used it the very first time. It is like having shower without touching the cold creek water!
I am lazy and I used this Alcohol Free moist wipes to clean my face after a sweaty day and also in the morning.
My trustworthy Shoe Sole for the past 2 years. Save my knees since I have flat feet.
