Keith's Hut应该是周边雪季最繁忙拥挤的一个木屋---因为就在Hwy99路边/起点海拔高/路线短易/景美且滑雪环境好....

Tongue in cheek posting given my recent 2 nights, 3 days at Keith's Hut; here are some suggestions so we can all get along in crowded huts:
1. It is ok to get into a hut late. But if you get in late and feel the need to prepare a steak and couscous dinner for 8 - 10 people at 10pm and continue to eat and rummage around from 10pm till 11:48pm this might be considered a tad excessive. Perhaps consider finishing up a bit earlier?
2. On that same note, cooking your steaks on the communal hut stove by putting the steaks directly on the hot metal might cause lots of smoke thereby asphyxiating people upstairs. Perhaps those who want their steaks well done could cook them outside?
3. On that same note, perhaps clean the communal hut stove after cooking your steaks on the stove?
4. On that same note, after you use up all the communal hut water that has been melted on the communal hut now-suitably greased stove perhaps you could put some snow in the pot so there is water in the pot in the morning. Yes. Please feel free to use the snow that has been put in the bag besides the kitchen shelf. The bag that's marked SNOW
5. On that same note, it might be a bit over-the-top to burn a week's worth of wood in the stove because you needed to get the stove "hot enough to grill the steak's well-done".
6. On that same note, when you are done your fantastic steak and couscous at 11:48pm perhaps you can clean up your dishes so that the communal dining table and the kitchen shelf is clean of garbage.
7. It is considered poor form to knock someone's boot liners into the stove and melt them to the stove.
8. It is also considered poor form to put your dog's food on the communal dining table and to let your dog eat the food off the table.

Nortonchum - I know you have some classics too. I actually sleep like a log and slept through quite a bit of the dinner.
This has been a message brought by a jaded local who lost a bit of faith of humanity this weekend but who still loves climbing and skiing steep stable pow.
EDIT
Now I remember I posted about Keith's Hut (http://www.clubtread.com/sforum/ ... mp;whichpage=1)once before so this might not sound tongue in cheek but more like a rant. Actually it was kind of humourous at the time.
Read along with Nortonchum's story. He spent the night at the hut too. http://www.clubtread.com/sforum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=38940

Would anyone like to make any more suggestions for useful hut rules?
