Beginner Wilderness Navigation Course

Fred Touche, author of the "Wilderness Navigation Handbook" (
http://bivouac.com/GdePg.asp?GdeId=330) is reaching out to Wanderung subscribers
and offering a non-profit, beginner wilderness navigation course. It will be
held at the Britannia Community Centre on Friday, April 29, 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm.
There will also be an outdoor session at Queen Elizabeth Park on Saturday April
30, at 11:00 am.
The course will cover maps, compass, and GPS, and how to use all three of these
navigation aids together. ALL OF THESE THINGS ARE ESSENTIAL IN THE BACK-COUNTRY.

The cost is $5 (to pay for the room) payable with cash at the door.
