Sunshine Coast Mt. Canceled
New year 2 nights trip

Leave Friday Dec 30 Time?
Coming back Jan 1

必备装备：

1> 帶備4餐(包括火锅,早晚煮食，中午方便餐)+ snack +extra food 及煮食工具，炉头／气自带.
2> Hiking boots 和 Snowshoes（雪鞋MEC有租）
3> 2升水(最好能有保温杯带些热水)
4> 手套+Hat+extra socks
5> quick dry base layer 和多套御寒保暖衣服(e.g. fleece/down jacket)
6> 防雨防风又透气外套和防雪(水)裤子
7> 睡袋，睡垫 (at least -7 degree otherwise you might have to wear 保暖衣服 to sleep )
8> 头灯/手电筒
9> backpacking背包及rain cover
10> 防晒霜,雪地的紫外线反射很厉害 + sun glass
11>Gaiters,防雪防湿鞋湿裤又能防脏
12>哨子
14>登山杖
15> 防水贮藏袋
16>相機
17>个人清洁卫生用品，如牙刷牙膏湿巾纸面巾厕纸等
18>舒适保暖的bootie
19>tent+ 雪钉 (Optional)

Driving distance from Vancouver 85km, excluding ferry
Trip distance: ~9km
Elevation gain: ~690m

This is an easy hike from trail head to Edward cabin,
from Edward cabin to Mt Steele is little bit hard but you can stay in Edward cabin while others challenges Mt Steele on second day

You do not need much experience for Edward cabin.
but you should have some snowshoeing experience which is not very special either.
you must have winter waterproof clothing plus snowshoe(snowshoe can be rented )I think Crossna has some for rent
as far as timing. starting 1:30 we will hit the night hiking which is more fun to do it but we need few more experienced hiker to come alone with us lets see!!Please do few snowshoeing trip even short one before then.

对BC的这些路不太熟悉，也没去过，冬天基本都在华盛顿州转悠，可以找个时间详谈。

Had 4 times snow camp expresses last winter,but all in Washington State,no expresses in BC for snow camp,I am in Burnaby,maybe we can meet some time over the weekend to talk about.

Since we have not have hike together and will hit the dark we might run into unwanted incident. After all area is remote and cold whether make you think unsafe.
