This week, the Canadian Avalanche Centre ends its forecasts for the season.
Spring conditions exist throughout the local mountains which brings its own
dangers - indeed, the largest avalanches can occur in the spring as weak
layers are triggered in the heavy snowpack. Check out the full article on

Be sure to take note of their advice on dealing with spring snow
conditions, especially with this year's above-average snowpack. As always,
avoid exposure to avalanche terrain and turn back if there are signs of
recent avalanche activity.
