We had one night stay over night backpacking on 7/19 and 7/20. There are lots of wild flowers and we had a great time. We had reserved a group site campsite (maximum 12 persons) at the Carbon River which is very nice place. I also strongly recommend to stop by the Tomie Peak. You will have plenty time to get to the Carbon River campsite. We are going to go to the Northern Loop in Mt Rainier from 8/30 to 9/3 this year and will post pictures later on.
