Captain Philips.
The movie is good and I only talk about what is behind the movie: truth about Captain Philips.
I heard some comments from radio when I drove. 1.It is the captain fault to have the ship 200 miles away from Somali coast, should be 600 miles. 2.The owner of this ship did not tell the crew member about risk. Crew knew the risk from the public and their contact did not have the term. A law suit is filed and the trial will be in Dec.
Both these points are in the movie. 1.The ship was not with any others. Which gave the chance for pirates . 2.Captain received an email when the ship was already in ocean.
U might find some articles online about this argument. I have no intention to lower the credit of Captain Philips. I used to be a Maritime student. However, the truth is the truth. This movie might go to Oscar Award. So this issue is an ethical issue.
Gravity:
The prediction says the movie would top the box office for $39 million. But I wonder why Americans would rather spend $39 mil to watch a science fiction, but fund for a real shuttle.
