这个星期天气好，我们继续爬吧。

本周六（6月07号)活动召集: Mt. St Benedict

集合时间地点:7:30am Production Skytrain Station, Free Parking on both sides of Production Way ,要Carpool的同学可以坐sky train到集合地点 .

Driving Directions

Heading East on Louheed Highway past mission turn left on Sylvester Road. Keep following this road straight and you will come to the end of the paved road. From here the road is known as Lost Creek FSR. Follow this road 2.4 km keeping left at forks in the road. When you arrive at the first bridge cross it and park on the West side of the road (should be your left). The trailhead is found on the other side of the bridge on the east side marked with orange diamonds.

Carpool Fee: $15

Total Distance: 15.0 km (return)
Estimated Time: 7 hours
Average Grade: 13.7%
Structure: Linear - Return
Elevation Gain: 1028 m
Start Elevation: 250 m
Max Elevation: 1278 m

The trail starts out in the forest and heads up the hill. You will meet back up with an FSR (Lost Murdo FSR) and turn left. Following up the FSR you will stay left and ignore the two turnoffs to the right. Less than one hour on the FSR you will arrive at the marked trail head on the right hand side of the road. Take this trail up past McKay Lake and up to the Peak.

2011年7月末跟老虎去这里，雪还不少（过了湖转弯最后准备上顶峰那一段）。个人觉得小冰爪必备？

海拔是融雪快慢诸多因素之一，但不是唯一因素。地区，尤其地表情况决定了积雪厚度还有融雪（温度和降雪量）的速度。

St. Benedict是最后一段迂回上山大概15-20分钟较陡的一段可能有不少积雪，类似山坳的感觉，可能性化得比较慢。
