What are you hearing in the news? We read everything and we are hearing that Canadian firearms laws do not work and that no measure of gun control would have stopped this.The NFA and the law abiding firearms community is for the first time being heard across this country and we are controlling the narrative.
The haters will hate, they always have and they always will. We as a community have become indoctrinated into believing that it is ok to let them hang the likes of these horrible tragedies around our law abiding necks. The stigma of firearms ownership was hurled upon us after the Poly-Tech and we have become accustomed in wearing that shame in silence for every mass killing thereafter.
The NFA is changing the culture in this Country and in order to win we need to confront these people. Like the boy who lives in a cubby hole under the stairs we begrudgingly stick our heads out of a small crack in the door scanning the horizon to see if it safe to come out. No more! We will hide no longer!
We are the best people in this Country and we need to accept that we incontestably are. This has been proven by empirical, peer reviewed evidence. The average Canadian is two thirds more likely to commit homicide than the law abiding firearms owner. Instead of cowering in the shadows in our little cubby hole under the stairs the NFA (after numerous attacks on our community) decided to provide leadership to our community and take charge of the narrative.
We have effectively done that. This is a core responsibility to our members and to the broader firearms community and it is one that we will never shy away from! You either fight back or you retreat in shameful defeat. The NFA will fight, we always have and always will and so should you!
