Elevation Gain: 1,910 m

Gear
Microspikes (or/and crampons) + snowshoes
Avalanche rescue response - transceiver + snow shovel
Winter Camping Gear - incl. own tent, sleep bag, snow shovel, cooking stove, etc.

Meeting Time: will be emailed to registered hikers noon time two days prior to the trip.

ALTHOUGH the organizer of this trip has received training in mountaineering and alpine/crevasse rescue, he is NOT a professional mountaineer, guide or trained first aid attendant. The function of the organizer is only to organize the trip, ensure it gets underway and be familiar or have knowledge of the access to the area, the route or routes. Participants on a trip are responsible for their own safety and are expected to have the necessary skills, experience, fitness, suitable first aid supplies and appropriate equipment in good working order.

1) Must have hiked with organizer before. NO exceptions!
2) Must be (reasonably) fit - your Grouse Grind summer time is 65 minutes or less.

TRIP STATUS: STANDBY
Current weather forecast expects clear skies and cold (-5C) starting Sunday. Can be perfect and better candidate than the Keith's Hut. A good op before avalanches season. Also, access road is still snow-free. Who knows, we can even hike up to Burton Hut next day?! Is it not already exciting?! :)

Weather holds so far, hoping it will stay like this. As always, trip will be cancelled if conditions deteriorate below minimum safety level, last minute cancellations do occur. Keith's Hut trip will be plan B. 8)

看起来真是难求的好天气，贴出来的照片又那么好看，加上这么优秀的领队，工作不放一放还真对不住自己。下雨努力上班，天晴开心爬山。这样最好。

TRIP STATUS: CANCELLED

Upon arrival at the Rubble Creek Parking Lot on Nov-10th discovered shattered car windows glass, fresh. I thought this sort of local vandalism was only a summer thing, but apparently it is well alive and is not going to die soon. We agreed that the place is better to avoid altogether, so switched to Plan B, and never missed it even a single time. 8)
