冰斧不需要,一切都是一条平常的山路。雪鞋和小冰爪就行。别忘记带暖衣服。 8)

TRIP'S STATUS: CANCELLED

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT IN EFFECT
5:01 AM PST Friday 28 November 2014
Special weather statement in effect for:

    Metro Vancouver

Potential for snow over the South Coast tonight and early Saturday morning.

A ridge of high pressure building over the BC Interior will continue to push cold Arctic air towards the BC South Coast today. Outflow winds are expected to increase tonight through the mainland inlets and valleys with freezing levels and temperatures dropping overnight. The Arctic air exiting the interior combining with residual Pacific moisture over the South Coast will give the potential for the first snowfall of the season.

As is typically the case with snowfall scenarios over the South Coast, there is uncertainty in the amount and timing of snowfall accumulations. Typically in this pattern, snowfall amounts are highly variable from region to region. The timing of the cold air arriving on the South Coast and the availability of moisture will be key factors as to which regions receive significant accumulations.

The situation will be monitored through the day and forecasts updated as required.

The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required or extended.

Please monitor the latest forecasts and warnings from Environment Canada at www.weatheroffice.gc.ca.
http://weather.gc.ca/warnings/report_e.html?bc42#377cwvr

Weather might be acceptable later in the day, and as always "..there is uncertainty in the amount and timing of snowfall accumulations..", but better stay away from driving Mt Seymour road (snow tires / chains or not), can be black ice. Trip had to be cancelled. Be safe. Until next time. 8)

..安全第一..

Right. Here is exactly what I meant:

Multiple accidents and road closures due to ice and snow
Posted: Nov 29, 2014 12:48 PM PT

A serious crash involving multiple vehicles has closed Highway 1 near Gaglardi Way in Burnaby.

Traffic has been backed up ever since the accident shortly around 8:30 a.m. PT.
..
The accident is one of several collisions due to snow and ice on the roads from an overnight snowfall.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/br ... w-1.2854902?cmp=rss

Early Saturday police reported a collision on the Brunette Highway in New Westminster. The eastbound off-ramp at Highway 1 and United Boulevard was also temporarily closed due to accidents caused by black ice.

Highway 99 at Highway 91 in Delta was closed for a few hours Saturday because of accidents also caused by icy roads.

Be safe, don't become statistics. 8)
