想了好几个，最后还是决定爬上周因雪况没爬成的曼宁的最高峰Mt.Outram

一些注意事项：
需要CARPOOL的朋友准备两双鞋（一双是登山鞋），在开始Hiking前和结束后，换上干净的鞋，这样省去车主打扫车内卫生，谢谢！还可以再准备一双备用的袜子。爬完山，能让脚舒服一下也是种享受 .
请报名的同学看好集合时间地点，可以早到不要迟到。

This is a high summit which dominates the Manning Park area of the
Cascades. Composed of generally mediocre rock, Outram looms above the
west gates of Manning. A popular hiking trail (with quite a lot of
elevation gain) climbs the easy south flanks, the true summit is
gained from alpine meadows (beautiful flowers in season) via a short
scramble. Outram has a steep north face composed of equal portions of
loose rock and dirt.
There are two summits with cairns, separated by a class 2 ridge. GPS
measurements indicate the northern summit (the one requiring the easy
scramble) is c. 1-2 meters higher than the southern.
Outram is the highest Cascade summit north of Highway 3. The group of
mountains and ridges in this area is collectively named Manson Ridge,
after Donald Manson, a famous/infamous HBC Packer of the early 19th
Century.
Name Notes: This peak was named in 1936 on a Geological Survey sheet,
and was previously identified in the 1930 BC Gazetteer, and labelled
on 1931 map "Sumallo and Upper Tulameen Valleys," by R.D. McCaw, BCLS.
The old name was "Beaver Mountain".
Was it named after James Outram, who made the first ascent of Mount
Columbia? Quite possibly, since James Outram died in 1925 in Victoria,
and was a prominent figure in the Alpine Club.[/quote]
Driving directions to trailhead:
1. Driving east on Hwy 5 pass Hope.
2. Take exit 177 onto Hwy 3, which you follow for 18km to the West Gate of Manning Provincial Park.
3. The parking lot is on your left, which entrance is adorned with a large craved marmot.
在Highway 3看到Manning Park西邊的入口時便是Mt. Outram的Trailhead.
