So this weekend is a busy one for me but I still want to get out
hiking. So, I'm going for something relatively close to Vancouver,
relatively quick, and relatively easy. Alder Flats was the winner. :)
Much like my call-out last week, this hike is in fact part of a longer,
steeper hike but can also be considered a hike in itself. Sorry for
the early start; transit users, please confirm you can make it on time
before signing up! :)
DISTANCE: 10 km
ELEVATION GAIN: 250m
TIME NEEDED: 4.5-5 hours
BOOK RATING: Easy-ish
MEETING TIME AND LOCATION: 7:30 a.m., in front of the Safeway at the
Broadway SkyTrain station (Broadway & Commercial).
LATEST RETURN TIME: 5 pm
AFTER HIKE PLANS: none for me as I have to get back right after but
others are free to make plans
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF HIKERS: 8
STRICT SIGN-UP DEADLINE: Friday at noon
PLEASE INDICATE: If you are bringing a car and how many people you can
take (besides yourself).

pm; for drivers, require 24 hours notice of cancellation
BRING: at least 2 litres water, hiking boots, $$ for your driver,
lunch/snacks, etc.

layers)
