Always wanna to head over to Mt Baker but can't take a chance this time. Will try out new insole and test drive it at the North Shore mountain this Sunday. Coz I wanna to join the Easter Weekend trip! Have fun.

I thought you MUST use passport to cross the border starting this year! Better make sure.

Brunswick Mountain or Mt. Windsor

Thanks for the reminder, hope you can join us soon

FYI:
Identification is necessary for travel between the United States and Canada. Due to heightened security all travelers are encouraged to travel with a passport if available. Beginning January 31, 2008, U.S. and Canadian citizens 19 years and older who enter the U.S. at land and sea ports will need to present government issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license as proof of identity, along with proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate or naturalization certificate, or a passport. Children age 18 and under will be able to enter with proof of citizenship, no photo ID required.

email reply I got from a friend(SAR member) about the snow condition there

Hi Gloria,
I reviewed the synopisis for  Saturday and due to average temps and winds, both sides of the ridge are affected in different ways. Norht and Northeast slopes and bowls will loaded in the morrning from Wind and the south sides cornices and slopes of Ptarmigan would be affeccted in the afternoon by sun. Because the area has good visibility for veiwing along the route, you will be able to see any evidence and will hear some whumping or cracking in the morning if there is a problem. Stay well back from the cornices in the afternoon on return and watch them when passing underneath. By the time you are in the NE bowl, it should have settled. Keep a straight line up vertical slopes and distance between parties.
Talk to ski patrol while you are up there and probably some skiers will be in the area before or at the same time as you, so the area should see a lot people travelling and you will be able to get a good feel for the terrain. Even if you don't go the full distance you should be able to go quite a ways.
Take care

I'm little worrying about tonight's weather in MT Baker area.

"
After a few beautiful days of sunshine, it looks like the clouds are moving back in. Forecasts are calling for 5 to 8 inches of snowfall for Saturday and freezing levels to drop to 2,000 feet.
"

In this forecast report, freezing level drops to 1200ft (366 m)
http://www.snow-forecast.com/resorts/Mount-Baker/6day/top

If there is new snow tonight, is our car ok to go that high to parking lot?

Even though the road condition is good, it's still dangerous with snow and ice.
