Costco has outdoor socks for sale at 10.99 for four.

Tried half day and feels good. I never tried other professional hiking socks, so cannot tell the difference. The socks are 70% wool and dry very fast.

Also long sleeve Nike DryFit T-shirt for $24.99 which is not bad.
