Keith's Hut backpacking

Two days, one night

DATE: Sep. 7,8

Hiking Group : beginners backpacking http://goo.gl/60I4f

Overnight stay in Keith's Hut ($5) or tenting (your choice) with half-day hikes to Vantage Col and Motel 66.

:arrow: For your safety, group size is limited. Register early before the trip is full.

Driving: one way from church 180 km, 2 hours 40 mins http://goo.gl/maps/sB678

Agenda:
Day 1: drive in, hike up Cerise Creek via summer trail, drop camping gear in the Hut, hike to Vantage col
Day 2: hike up Motel 66, return to Hut, pack camping gear and return home via same trail

IMPORTANT
ALTHOUGH the organizer of this trip has received training in mountaineering and alpine/crevasse rescue, he is NOT a professional mountaineer, guide or trained first aid attendant. The function of the organizer is only to organize the trip, ensure it gets underway and be familiar or have knowledge of the access to the area, the route or routes. Participants on a trip are responsible for their own safety and are expected to have the necessary skills, experience, fitness, suitable first aid supplies and appropriate equipment in good working order.
