Consumption of alcohol is prohibited in provincial parks, except within your campsite.
Starlight thank you for pointing this out. It's always good to be aware and responsible. I checked Topo Canada, the Federal Canada topo map, and Earth Details 3D. The hut is located outside the Park.
If you used the BC Provincial Joffre Park pdf brochure then you should be congratulated as you have come across a very important discovery.
This Brochure has a very serious error on it. They have named and located Cerise Creek wrongly which in fact would put the hut possibly inside or close to the Park Boundary. If you take a look at the following brochure link, it shows Cerise Creek as being closer to Mount Chief Pascal and ending in two lakes.

This error on the Government Brochure could get the average Hiker lost if other errors exist on it andthey were to use it. To Everyone I would suggest not relying on any Government Brochures at this time. I will notify BC Parks this morning.
Thank you again Starlight great work.
:D
For everyone posting pictures I also refreshed my memory and checked the Topo map and Earth 3D about the Glacier we look at from Vantage Col. It is not the Anniversay Glacier. It is Twin One Glacier. Anniversary Glacier is the one closest to the hut where we crossed it's Morraine in the morning hiking to Vantage Col. :) I hope that helps.
A good 3D map source
