ACCWhistler
Promoting human-powered enjoyment of the Coast Mountains and Sea-to-Sky Country
Hi Gloria,
Thank you for requesting a reservation at ACCWhistler’s Wendy Thompson Hut.
You have been booked into the Wendy Thompson Hut for the date you requested, 03 April 2010 inclusive for 12 people.
Please review our cancellation policy on the accwhistler.ca website if you have any doubts about your ability to navigate safely in ATES Challenging Terrain. There is also some information on the winter route on the website. We recommend that you also consult John Baldwin’s Exploring the Coast Mountains on Skis, 3rd ed. for further information on the area.
There are now two white gas cooking stoves at the hut for your food prep. You will need to bring your own white gas.
There is a kerosene heater, which keeps the hut comfortably warm with about two litres of kerosene per night. You must bring in your own kerosene.
Sometimes the heater is behind what appears to be a locked cupboard. Pull hard on the combination lock and it will open just fine.
There are some new utensils in the hut, but weekend visitors may want to bring their own. Similarly, there are some cast-off pots and fry pans you may wish to use. Again, on weekends, when the hut is busy, you may want to bring your own.
Please check the sanitary facilities before using them. While we try to anticipate barrel changes, it is the user’s responsibility to ensure barrel capacity is adequate for usage.
Please print off this email as your receipt for your hut stay.
Please forward your payment ($144) in full in Canadian dollars, with the your full name inside the envelope and the specific dates for the hut to:
