Scotiabank Vancouver Half-Marathon

21K, from UBC to Stanley Park, June 27, 2010.

My Training Plan

Baseline: 10K

Regular runs: 2-3 times per week, 10K, tempo speed (70-80% racing pace), on weekdays.

Long runs: once a week, slow pace, long distance up to 21K, on weekends.

Schedule for long runs:
  May 29: 13K, Done, 62 mins.
  June 5: 16K, Done, 79 mins.
  June11: 22K, Done, 1:49.
  June 19: 11K, Done.
  June 27: RACE DAY

Are any other sun runners interested in upgrading to the next level?

Commuter Chanllenge

Tomorrow, Thurday June 3, is the annual commuter channllege day. To consider as part of my training, I'm going to run from home (burnaby) to work (vancouver).

Traditionally, this is a fun day. Last year, a group of my co-workers rode the kid bikes, those for 4 years old, all the way from north vancouver to vancouver. Some of them are more than 6 feet (180cm+).

I'll post some interesting stories / photos. Still tuned.

Meanwhile, if you can take this one day chanllenge please join us.

It isn't as hard as it sounds like, only one way, about 12 K in 55 minutes.
