集合時間地點: 本周六7:00am (June,19,Saturday)@ KingsWay夹Willingdon的Esso加油站旁边停车场

天氣預測:
Environment  Canada

Trip Description:
Distance: round trip 18km
High point: 2060m
Elev. gain: 1420m
Time: 9+ hrs.

Info quoted from CT:
Directions
To reach the northern trailhead, follow Highway #3 (Hope-Princeton Highway) 35.5km East of Hope to Sumallo Grove parking lot in Manning Provincial Park. Park here, and locate the Skagit River Trail on the southern end of the parking lot.

The Silverdaisy Mountain trail is located 1.4 km down the Skagit River Trail, immediately before the waterfall and cabin.

Details
* Trailhead starts on left on Skagit River Trail, 1.4 km in. (just before cabin/waterfall)

* Trailhead has a sign indicating some sort of "adopt-a-trail" program, but no actual named sign (ie/ silverdaisy)

* Well maintained trail switchbacks steeply uphill for 2km (24.5% grade).

* 400 meters in, the trail reaches a rock bluff above the waterfall (no real view, but slightly open).

* At 1km, the trail passes through a grove of tall Rhododenderons

* At 2km, trail reaches a small talus slope, with a view down skagit valley

* Trail continues relatively straight past this point, crossing a second small talus slope. The steep section of trail ends at 1300m.

* Eventually the trail becomes bushier, but still easy to follow. There are one or two small patches of stinging neddle over the trail.

* Trail emerges onto an old, deactivated road. Turn left here.

* Once on the road, immediately turn right at the next junction

* Follow the road perfectly straight, ignoring the smaller roads leading off of it.

* 15.5% grade on the road.

* Reaches crest of the ridge, with a newer road on the opposite side. The trail picks up here, on the left.

* "Silverdaisy" sign is attached to a tree just alongside the trail to the left which heads to the north.

* From here the path zigzags up through light trees until reaching a plateau area where the view opens up completely.

* The trail tends to hug the east side of the ridge. Most of the ribbons are bleached out or disintegrated so watch for the trodden path.

*About one kilometre from the saddle there is a fair sized bowl area where you can spot a trail, also marked with a couple of ribbons, rising up the other side to the southeast ridge. You could veer to the left slightly and climb up the open meadow directly to the main peak, however using the trail takes you along a number of undulating humps each pretending to be the summit.

* On the main peak there is a cairn which also holds the container with the summit log. In total from the saddle it is about 1.8 K and approximately a 400 meter gain of very pleasant hiking.

* Either retrace your steps back along the ridge or scoot south down the open meadow to the bowl encountered on the ascent.

* Alternately, a faint trail can be followed to the south from the top of the road (opposite Silverdaisy). It leads through the heather, but is fairly faint.

* Reaches the base of a steep heather-filled hillside. No visible trail here, but intermittent flagging. VERY STEEP - hillside has a 37% grade

* Once at the top, reaches the rocky summit area, which appears to have a large amount of iron oxide.

* Don't climb directly up the center of the ridge to reach the first peak - lead around the left side on loose rock which is much easier. Some of the terrain on the top ridge is steep and crumbly.

* First un-named (Sub) peak is only a few meters lower than the main peak.

* Continue on, again on the left-hand side for 350m to the second peak. More jagged - better spot for lunch is the first peak.

* Panoramic views of Outram, Heather Trail / Three Brothers / Fourth Brother, Mount Frosty, Skyline II Area / Red Mountain / Snowcamp / etc, Shawatum Mountain, Mount Hozomeen, Snass Mountain, etc.

从现在起,立即停止抓挠!!!没破皮,可用大蒜刨面轻轻擦,如果破皮,用淡盐水清洗,不用分次数,感觉痒就洗,不可用力按压患处.

Thanks 00, I will try! see you saturday.
