We are also interested. 1 adult and 1 kid and 1 car (can carpool also). We probably will just go to Elk Mountain, as 1, we are slow, 2. my blister from last trip is not fully healed. 3. I just got new boots to break in. 4. We want to go to US on Friday, so don't want to be too tired.

Let me know if it is OK with you guys. Reading through the clubtread information, it seems the trail is pretty straight forward, i.e. no bushwhacking, or navigation skills needed. So we may just hang around. :)

To Elk Mountain:

Round trip: 8 km
Elevation gain: 800m
High Point: 1400m

To Mount Thurston:
Round trip: 15 Km
Elevation gain: 1030 m
High Point: 1630 m

行车路线：

The Directions is: Highway 1 Exit 123 (Prest Road) south 4km to Bailey Rd., turn left and go 1km to the bottom of the hill turning right and uphill on Elk View Rd. Stay on this road for 8km. The pavement will end and the road will continue for 2km as the Chilliwack Bench Forest Service Rd. The gravel pit/parking lot is on the left, with the trailhead to its right.

Trail 前4公里拔高800米，还是挺陡的。
山上没有水源，请带足饮用水2+升。

高山植被脆弱，请在trail 上行走，大家还是要做好访蚊措施... :lol:
