Re: 手套,RAIN COVER还有GAITER
You will survive without these things, I would get good hiking boots (like these, not running shoes) and trekking poles first. I agree with Lulu that if you really get into hiking, you will want to buy them eventually, and they add up and cost a lot.
手套: prefer something that could provide some wind and weather resistance, but you don't want it too warm for this weather/hiking activity. If "staying comfortable" is important to you, then you can bring one extra pair (put them in a plastic bag to prevent from getting wet). I found water-proof gloves are too hot for high-output activities; my hands are always sweaty. I also like to hear some other recommendation.
RAIN COVER: (my understanding is for your backpack, not for yourself). You don't "really" need it, you can just put everything in some plastic bags (even double bagging for extra clothes, etc), and then put them into your backpack. Avoid sharp things.
GAITER: You don't "really" need them either, but I would bring an extra pair of pants to change when back into car, just to keep the car clean--the owner will always appreciate it.
I usually put an extra set of clothes (of course not your fancy party dress :) ) in the car. It feels so good in dry/clean clothes after one day of hard work, plus it keeps the car clean.
Just my 2 cents. |
