活动召集：Cerise Creek(Jan,21-22) overnight trip (full)

km

对讲机频道：6-6（6主频道，6子频道）

第一天晚上集体吃火锅/喝酒，我带小肥羊底料/东来顺沾料/高山汽炉一个/一火锅。参加者自备火锅原料（比如各类肉片／肉元及可涮的豆制品蔬菜类等等)和酒类（如白酒or wine等,可用hiking装水容器灌装）

大家不用带茶了，我带姜茶和芦荟八宝茶

请参加者准备好自己带的火锅原料／酒水的单子后，跟贴说明一下，谢谢！

一些注意事项：

需要CARPOOL的朋友准备两双鞋（一双是登山鞋），在开始Hiking前和结束后，换上干净的鞋，
这样省去车主打扫车内卫生，谢谢！还可以再准备一双备用的袜子。爬完山，能让脚舒服一下也是种享受.

手套很有用，保暖防寒，要防水／快干的。(如果没有防水／快干手套也可带个二三双羊毛手套湿了替换用)

！防雨防风外套／雨具和保暖衣服！

集合地点:Broadway skytrain station旁边的Safeway停车场。

Cerise Creek Winter Trail

Access To: The Joffre Group and Keith's Hut. Cerise Creek road is usually snowed in all winter, hence the parking area on Highway 99.

How To Find: From Pemberton, drive east on Highway 99 (Duffey Lake Road) to the Cerise Creek Parking Lot on the south side of the highway. This parking lot is usually plowed, and is located just west of the Avalanche sign. From the parking lot, go down thru logging slash to the new footbridge across Cayoosh Creek. Climb up (south) the other side thru standing timber until you hit a second logging slash. Ski up through the logging slash to the Cerise Creek Main. Ski west on this road for approximately 200m, to the winter trailhead, still on the east side of Cerise Creek.

[The summer trailhead is on the west side of the creek. The boggy terrain on the east side of the creek is much easier to negotiate in winter than the steep terrain on the west side.]

Ski south over flat meadows (bog?) for 1km, then through more forest and up an open section of the creek. Finally, cross Cerise Creek to the west side near GR420770.

To reach Keith's hut, ski up the north side of the obvious lateral moraine, then duck into the woods on the right where they open about half way up the moraine. Keith's Hut is situated near three small lakes at GR416772, and is usually quite busy on weekends.

Bulletins:

2005.12.16 Robin Tivy Trail icy: We in the usual spot on the right hand side of the road. The trail was frozen solid, so we hiked on foot, crossed the slippery new wooden footbridge, then crossed the second fork of the creek on a log, and then climbed back up to the old logging road, where we finally put on our skis. Skied west along the road to just before Cerise creek, where the winter trail heads south.

Winter access is gained from a point on the Duffy Lake Rd a few miles past N of the work sheds, between Duffy Lake and the Joffre Lake parking lot. There is a Cerise Cr sign at the start of the trail, just next to an Avalanche Area sign post. You park here, hike down to the creek, cross a new log bridge, and follow the markers. Avoid the right hand turn half an hour in. This is the summer route. Keep going straight up the valley, following the Creek. When you get to the morraine wall, head west (right) up the gully for a short distance before climbing up NW through tight trees, past a small lake to the cabin

just got the detailed winter route description from my friend Chris

The winter route is pretty easy to follow.  You park on the Duffy Lake Rd
instead of taking all those 4x4 roads.  There's a hard to see sign on a tree
on the right, just near the pull off.  From the car you drop down and a
little bit left to a log bridge over the creek.  The trail from there is
pretty straight forward all the way to the 4x4 track.  Go straight ahead
down that rd (i.e. not left) until you see the cerise creek trail sign on
the left, just before the bridge (the summer trail starts just after that
bridge).

Take the narrow trail into the trees, through a couple of meadows.  In one
of the meadows is a trail heading right with a sign on it (can't remember
what the sign said).  This is a variation of the summer trail, so don't go
that way.  Just head straight across the right hand edge of each of the
meadows, until you pick up the trails on the other side.  The valley closes
in after a while, you cross at the bottom of a big avalanche runout, then
the trail heads across Cerise creek not long before you come to the moraine
wall of the Anniversary Glacier.  Head right up the narrowing gully (left
would take you to Vantage Col).  As the gully swings around to your left,
you'll see the trees start to thin.  When you can, head up right through the
trees to a small lake.  (this lake is great for practicing pieps searches)
The cabin is above the lake on your right, through a thin patch of trees.

There's good skiing off Vantage Peak and Vantage Col, nice moderate meadows
below the col, lots of skiing of the ridge running back towards the cabin
from Joffre, and some more technical routes off the back of Joffre and back
down the Anniversary Glacier.

Location: Located on the south side of the road, just north of the junction of Cerise Creek and Cayoosh Creek. It is just west of a prominent "Avalanche" sign on the road. (6 km E of Cayoosh Pass). (17 km S of Devine). (2 km S of Mount Rohr).

Access: From Pemberton, drive west thru Mount Currie, and set your odometer to zero at the right hand turn in Mount Currie. Climb up the road, past the Joffre Lakes parking lot, past the Marriott Basin parking lot, and continue till you are opposite Cerise Creek. See the Duffey Lake road description.

Description: The parking lot is on the south side of the highway, and holds about 10 cars. There are usually cars there on any given weekend, since this is the parking spot for Keith's Hut and Matier. Once you have parked, you can climb down the steep bank of the highway, and cross Cayoosh Creek on a little wooden bridge. Continue south, see description of Cerise Creek Winter Route.

The parking lot is usually plowed.

我带香菇贡丸、萝卜，本来打算带年糕（晚上刚买了）的，被鬼子抢先了， :evil: ，再琢磨看带点别的什么。

可能再带瓶红酒。好象酒够多了，不知道有多少能喝的？:P
