[活动召集]Xmas 3天火锅小酒木屋雪鞋 backpacking--Brew Hut(Dec,25-27)

三天的行程(Dec, 25-27)

參加者基本要求：

團隊精神 - 共进共退，友爱互助。分工合作，有FUN同享。

责任与备注:

1. 户外活动有风险，一切组织和活动属自愿，责任自负。

2. 一切計劃會跟據當時天氣, 環境作靈活變動, 隊友應跟隨整體行進, 不可單獨行動。

3. 一定要三人一組結伴同行。每組備對講機一部, 否則每組定要保持在視線範圍之內。

個人必备装备：

1> 帶備7餐(二天组带4餐,包括周六晚火锅,早晚煮食，中午方便餐)+ snack +extra food
2>煮食工具/炉头／气/餐具
3> HIKINGBOOTS (再另外加双备用干净鞋子）+snowshoes
4> 2升水
5> 手套 +hat+sun glass(必備)
6> 至少1套御寒保暖衣服
7> 防雨防风外套
8> Tent, 睡袋，睡垫
9> 头灯/手电筒
10> backpacking背包及rain cover
11> 防晒霜,高山的紫外线反射很厉害+ sun glass
12>Gaiter,防雪防湿鞋湿裤又能防脏
14>登山杖
15>防水贮藏袋
16>相機
17>个人清洁卫生用品，如牙刷牙膏湿巾纸面巾厕纸等
18>耳塞和木屋里穿的舒适保暖的bootie

Carpool费用：$20
木屋住宿费用：$5 per person per night

对讲机频道：6-6（6主频道，6子频道）

看了Lulu贴出的路线图，似乎我们得从Catskiing Shed走很长的Logging Road，然后才到Hut，是吗？
问问只是想打消自己尚存的一点侥幸心理：如果能只走大红色的线路，应该就舒服很多。

We might be able to drive up to Roe Creek FSR / Chance Creek FSR Junction(elevation ~580, 3.0km from the bottom). let's see....

It is my idea to drop out this 2-day plan. Blame me, not LuLu. Neither do I for the 3-day trip because of my New Yr plan.

Haha，那也是有可能的副作用，不过我是想知道，technically有没有危险，像是路面，天气，地形。。还有如何应付特殊情况？请有经验的前辈分享一下！

Avalanche Hazard

While this route is much safer than any of the other access routes to the Brew Hut, avalanches can still pose a threat under unstable conditions. The avalanche hazard along this route is similar to the avalanche hazard along the marked winter route to the Elfin Lakes hut in Garibaldi Park. The route crosses several open south facing talus slopes between 1150m and 1300m elevation. These slopes are steep enough to avalanche under the right conditions. Since the slopes are at low elevation and sheltered from the wind, only rare circumstances would create avalanche hazard. The slopes are south facing so they frequently see pinwheeling and small wet loose snow avalanches, but these types of slides are generally not very dangerous here because of the small size of the slopes. The CAA below treeline avalanche hazard rating is applicable to these slopes.

None of the slopes are very large, with a maximum height of about 50m and thus they are not capable of generating avalanches larger than size 2. The first of the slopes at 1150m is difficult to avoid. This slope is 31 degrees. The remaining ones can be easily bypassed in the forest on the downhill side.

The alpine section of the route from Brew Lake to Brew Hut is very open terrain. It is possible to navigate this section without being exposed to any avalanche slopes, but it is also possible to wander into avalanche start zones, especially in poor visibility.

Talking about the risk:
If u stay with LuLu and the team, the risk is 2 to 3 in scale from 1 to 10. At least, u wont have problem to figure out where u are. If u take action by yourself, it could be 8 to 9 if u are not experienced. So be safe with others who know where to go and what to do.

Talking about the difficulty:
We went there last yr. I would grade this hiking, as it was last yr, could be 8 to 9 if u have to hike extra 4 km and it has snow and wind. I think it might be more than a very beginner's imagination.

我带一盒羊肉片，一包豆皮一包豆丝，一包杂菜和一瓶酒

我带香肠一包（约20根），鱼圆一包（约16个），菠菜一包，老干妈酱一瓶，方便面若干包。

同学们请自备耳塞(earplugs)，另外请每人多带两个结实点的垃圾袋以分装垃圾等物，同学们请注意防湿防寒(防雨防风外套+保暖衣服e.g.羽绒服,化纤棉的保暖裤,厚的Fleece裤子)，帽子手套，bootie...)
