请教关于徒步鞋所用防水剂的问题

那么用作保养的防水剂是不是就该选：

不是很清楚，有行家可否告知一二？最近发现才买了5个月的鞋子好像每次走雪鞋回来都有点湿，怀疑是由鞋面渗水，是否喷点如上的water repellent就可以缓解这种状况？

我买过两双Vasgue的防水登山靴，没什么问题，都挺满意的。第一双穿了4年左右才有点渗水，主要是鞋面与鞋底粘合处有点开胶了，开始渗水了，就又买了一双防水的登山靴。第一双Vasque还是在国内买的，而且那4年是走得最狠的4年。

Most people tend to think that Nubuck aka leather reverse-side out holds up as well as Full grain leather and keeps it appearance if treated properly, but unfortunately it doesn't. The Goretex helps but I learned something interesting with my Goretex boots.
We call it a catch 22 scenario. The leather needs to be treated  but that defeats the purpose of the goretex breathability. I stopped treating my boots and surprizingly my feet stopped getting wet. So is it really a case of the boots leaking or are the feet sweating and not breathing through the goretex properly after apply waterproof layer? If your feet are really soaking wet, then perhaps it is a leak. I try to avoid boots with alot of stitching but that is hard to do with these new composite boots.
Now all I do is make sure my boots are kept clean so that the Goretex can do the job. I'm not 100% convinced that Goretex in boots works as boots go through much more stress and movement than jackets and pants do which could break down the goretex membrane faster.

check your boots for any ruptures or brakes between the sole, rubber rand, and last. Flex the boots with your hands and see if any cracks or splits appear in these areas. I've tried using seam sealer along the rands edge as a last solution and it helped on an emergency basis.  This is just my thoughts from personal experience and nothing more.

postscript:
I don't expect too much performance from any boot in the snow especially when temperatures are at 0deg or above and the snow is wet. In this case i found the only solution was a coat of snoseal which can only be applied to leather boots. I use canvas coat on my Sorel boots.
In low temperatures the boots tend to perform better.

Choose the Right Formula

Restore or Create Water Repellency for Footwear

Step 1:

Remove laces. Eliminate dirt and trail hardened grime with ReviveX® Boot Cleaner and air dry.


Step 2:

Apply ReviveX® Nubuck, Suede and Fabric Water Repellent to clean, dry footwear. Liberally treat the tops and sides of the toe area, especially where the boot bends.

If you can't get back to the dealer where your boots were purchased and see what they'll do, you'll need to send them back direct to Red Wing at this address:

I would go to the store first, to see if what they can do, if they would not help, then mail the boot back if you like.

I remember Zamberlan is life-time warranty... So you can always check with the company to see if they can help in that case…
