兩年前去Tenquille Lake是五月十六日, 比這次活動早一週。
當日從trailhead到林子的雪都化了, 1400m開始才用雪鞋。
但沒有雪的地方蚊子很猖獗, 我的眼睛被釘到像熊貓眼一樣。

有幾點可以提示大家:
1. 做足防蚊準備, 帶備防蚊紗網及驅蚊水。

2. 每年雪況不一樣, 可帶micro-spikes, 但不用帶ice-axe。

3. 不用帶filter。從trailhead到湖邊及湖邊到Mount McLeod沒有水源, 要帶足夠水飲用。

4. 湖邊有一條小溪, 當年雪己消融, 我們不用化雪, 可取溪水用。
希望今年也是一樣。

Just checked and it is still standing. The plan is you will be able to hike in in August.

I am sure there is still lots of snow there which will make it very difficult hiking. You would probably need snow shoes. As for the cabin, I am not sure of its condition and as far as I know there is no way to reserve it . It is first come . Sorry I am not of more help to you.

That cabin is not suitable for human beings.
It is very shabby, filled with bags of garbage & stinks.

There's no other option but snow camping.

Hi David,

Thank you for your interest in this trip.

The distance is quite long & is a snow camping, so you must have proper gears for this activity.
I would suggest that a lighter load will make your trip more enjoyable.

Talk with Lulu on Saturday and she can advise you what gears are suitable for a snow camping.
If Lulu thinks you are ready, you're more than welcome to join us.[/quote]

I am a cold sleeper!!!any how the plan is bringing tent incase cabin would not be okey.
It will be all good and fun

我已把小C贴上来的相关游记和路线说明读了二遍(2009年Daisy/Alex/小C的游记很详细，很有帮助)。等下载好GPS路线后会再对照着看一遍，这样的话走爬的时候就心里有数了，建议每个参加的队友也读上个二遍 :wink:
