Registration for challenge 12 hours‏

Dear friends & members

    On behalf of the Vansowers Sowers Society of Education ( VSSE ) , I would like to invite you to participate in our fund raising event on July 27 &  Aug 3 --- "challenge 12hours - hiking for education in China ".This will be both an interesting as well as challenging event for those hiking lovers .The fund raised from this event will be committed to a school building project at the remote village at Gansu province. Your participation will enable the poor and less fortunate children for schooling , to recieve education , build their future , and pursue their dreams .I look forward to your generous support and thank you so much in advance . In order to make it more accountable and attractive , I would like to arrange a briefing and registration gathering on this coming thur. evening , here is the info .

    Date :  june 27 ( thur )  
    Time :  6:30pm -- 8:30 pm.approx.,
    Venue :   Kensington community center .( corner of Knight & 38th street )
                   5175 Dumfries street , Vancouver .Tel ;  604-718-6209 .

Remark :  This is a causal gathering and a very good opporunity for those who want
                to join this event , we will:

           1)  collect  registration form , wavier form , and registration fees.

            2)  The T-shirt for challenge 12 hours is ready , is a good quality dry fit T shirt
                 come and pick up your sizes and favourite colours , we have orange and
                 light green to choose with .

            3)  explain the details of the event game plan , listening to your comments and
                 suggestions how to make it better .
     
            4)  Meet our team leaders , old and new hiking friends , share your hiking
                 experience . etc.,

            5)   Since this is a causal gathering .you can drop by any time in between
                  6:30pm-- 8:30pm .

有谁这么走过吗，好像看起来难度不小，

panorama ridge 到cheakamus lake一段有没有谁有直方图？google earth 画一下也好。

hiking seminar, sharing & briefing challenge 12hours2013

Dear commarades & friends

     Thanks for joining the "victoria day " hike , I am sure most of us had a great time , and I was pleased to hear some encouraging feed back , even though we knew that we have lots of room for improvement , . I was impressed to see some of our new friends ( especially some of the ladies ) , they tried their very best to finish the trail , even though they are tired and  exhausted , they insisted not to give up , and they made it . Anyway , during the last few hiking events , we have many new faces , but not too experience in hiking ,. In order to make our hiking events safer and more enjoyable , , we would like to arrange a " hiking seminar " . Here is the info .

  Date :  29th may ( wed )

  Time :  6:30pm~~ 8:45pm approx.,

   Location :  Renfrew library conference room
                    2969, E. 22nd ave ., Vancouver.

  Speaker :  Kevim Lam ---very experienced in hiking , camping , and other outdoor
                                        activities . He was the chief team leader of the first time
                                        challenge 12 hours in 2007 .

Remark : A)   hiking seminar :  the followimg areas will be talked about .

                 1)  hiking gear --  hat , gloves , essential clothing , , hiking poles , socks
                                           boots , gaiters ,suncreen , sunglasses , etc.,
                  2) hiking ethics --  short cut or stay on the trail , how to deal with the
                                              garbage , what can I do to "  answer the call of the
                                               nature ?"during hiking .
                  3)  Hiking equipment --  back pack , whistle, pocket knife, first aid kit etc.,                                          
  
              B) sharing :  We have some time to share your unforgettable moment ,
                                 joful and painful experience , or even some mistake you made
                                 during a hiking event . We love to hear your story .

              C)   Briefing of challenge 12 hours 2013 .

                     --what is challenge 12 hours means ? and what is that for ?
                        who can join this event ?
                       who is the team leader and who organize this event
                       What is the game plan?
                       What about the trail condition ?
                       Do I need some training in order to join this event ?
                       What is the difference between recreation level , beginners ,
                       intermediate and advanced level ?
                       What 's the differences between coporate team and individual
                       players?

             I would like to encourage you guys to make an effort to attend this meeting , we have tons of info to be released .
