Was travelling southbound on Hwy 99 from whistler yesterday. Observed a very gaunt and emaciated adult Grizzly Bear crossing hwy just south of the Callaghan Nordic centre. the bear was large size but thin.
Due to the late snowpack and limited food sources this year, the bears are probably very hungry and suggest they be given lots of space. Not reccommended to take pictures from close range.
Also Observed two grey wolves approaching people/tourists at the summit of whistler but they were just curious and of no concern.
