Golden Ear 24km summit route detail information wanted

Anybody have been to Golden Ear and summit recently, please kindly share the trail current condition.

I'll be very appreciated if someone can share a good topo map better than this map.

I was at Golden Ears North Peak at the end of Sept.  Please check your mail box for information I have recorded during the trip. It is better to start hiking at Th before 7 am.

Assuming information indicates total round trip distance from/to West Canyon Parking lot to Alder Flats camp ground.

To Golden Ears North Peak, you will follow two trails. First the West Canyon Trail, then the Golden Ears Trail.  Alder Flats camp ground is just before the junction of these two trails.

It might be very difficult to do a dayhike and reach to summit in this season. Trail condition after Alder Flats is challenging with various terrains, allow yourself 11-12 hours at least. definitely headlight is needed. I guess there will be also snow after the shelter, might be hard to find safe pass to reach to the summit.

You can search coquitlamhiker's post in 2009, I posted some coments and suggestions.
