Wednesday at 6 a.m., as I was getting ready for work, I heard a thump outside at my neighbour’s house. Then I heard a dog at the other neighbour’s start barking.



A little investigation showed the thump came from a dumped garbage can (thankfully locked) and further looking showed, that even though it is February and technically mid-winter, a bear was looking for food as it continued its way down the road.



It is never to early to make sure your waste is secured and safe from bruin intruders. With the mild weather we are having, bird feeders should be put away, too.



Please do your part. Help keep your neighbourhood safe and keep the bears out of trouble.
