Shannon Fall & Chief 要建gondola了？！

造孽呀，今天看新闻才知道的。

计划是建一条820米长的gondola，从chief和shannon fall中间为起点，到达Mount Haybrick西北面的一个Ridge上面，需要征地建tower。

下面这封信是从Squamish Chief上转帖的，可能Jeff应该认识这个人吧。

I am writing to you to ask you to not allow the building of a gondola to the top of Shannon Falls. This beautiful area has long been a great attraction to people in the lower mainland.

Many of us enjoy hiking and make the Chief or the top of Shannon Falls our destination. We delight in the beauty and peace we encounter. As a member of the B.C. Mountaineering Club, Vancouver Natural History Society, and the Golden Age Hiking Club, I am aware of how many enjoy visiting this area. Please do not allow it to become commercialized.

很多不能健行的男女老少,遊人也可到來.
好像松雞山一樣, 有吊車, 也有山路. 自由選擇.

松鸡山我觉得主要是因为滑雪才有的吧，上面毕竟也大很多。whistler也是为了滑雪方便。
这里是为了什么呢？开发旅游，刺激当地低迷的地产行业？

最主要生态破坏很严重，非常不和谐。

我想...滑雪塲(由其是downhill course)對生態和環境的破壞更嚴重.

表態:
1. 我決定杯葛松雞山, 不到那裡滑雪. :wink:
2. 決定多做一些越野滑雪或 back country skiing, 不坐吊車
