Just came back to the city, the church is at
1525 Taylor Way, West Vancouver, near the entrance of 13 of Hwy 1 West.  I will meet you at the St. David church parking lot. Thanks

We might have to postpone the trip as planned due to weather condition(cloudy and rainy).

I'll be very appreciated if anyone wants to take over to organize the trip this coming long weekend. Otherwise, we'll move to the following weekend (September 7 and September 8 but we'll drive to the trail head on Friday evening - September 6)

a couple replies I got from hikers went there this year (~3 weeks ago):

Hi Gloria, I used the detour both ways. i agree it's not great. fording lizzie creek may be an option if the water is low enough. there is only one scary section of that detour. And it's not dangerous if you go slowly.

Also if you were there last in 2006 be aware of the alders in the last third of the road.

As I said the trail from the lake to the cabin has gone down considerably. the rest of the trail to the park boundary at tundra lake remains as it used to be.

The cabin roof leaks including over the bed platforms.

We actually used the detour. Frankly speaking, the crossing did not look very inviting, but maybe there is less water in the creek now.
The detour is a bit steep but was not that bad.

Hi beijihu,

I may keep the plan for Tundra this week if mother nature permits.  I may get a car pool on Friday night instead.  Hope to see you on the trail this weekend.

I think the GPS Data I posted has the detour info as I used the detour when I went there the 2nd times, but I wasn't comfortable with the detour and got very scared especially when I came back noting I am the person who is afraid of height & do not have a good balance.
