路上碰到一只可爱的土拨鼠在树洞里掏东东.他很专心至致,我们走近了也不跑.吃饱了后还在石头上晒太阳.我发现ROCKY MOUNTAIN 的动物们都很有明星的风范,见人都不跑,还摆各种POSE让我们拍.土拨鼠,松鼠,还有屡次窥探我们营地的鹿,都是这样.很可爱.

爬上山后接着是一片开阔的MEADOW,旁边是蜿蜒流下的GLACIER 清泉.天气热,我们喝了很多水,水快喝完了.幸好在河边碰到一对年轻男女,他们带了滤水器.WOLVERINE REFILL 了他的WATERBOTTLE, 解了断水之危. 经验:下次一定要随时带滤水器,哪怕是DAYHIKING.

随处都可见到这种石头堆砌,即可作为TRAIL的MARK, 又是一个天然的艺术作品.跟ROCKY MOUNTAIN 的景致相融一体.太完美了.

我们一直都在纳闷,怎么不见非大侠呢.他那一双飞毛腿,应该早早的已到了终点,现在开始往回返了.这是一条单向的TRAIL,没有理由我们碰不上他.可是我们一直走到了终点也未与他相遇.真是想不通啊.我们只能猜测他可能体能太好,上了SNOWBIRD PASS 还不过瘾,又接着爬另一座山呢.神人啊.
在MEADOW碰到登顶下山的几个人,问他们时间,大概三点多钟,问前面还有多远,都说大概一个半小时就能走到,又问终点景致如何,都说IT'S WORTH IT.于是我们受到了鼓舞,接着前行.
过完MEADOW之后,要过大概六个SNOWBANK,最后爬一段300-400M 的陡坡, 终于上到山顶了.
乍一看,还是一堆乱石,我正有点失望,WOLVERINE提醒我还要继续往前走一段.果然,很震撼的景色.

回去的路上在MEADOW碰到了睡懒觉的俩位,可惜他们出发得太晚,不能登顶了. 哈哈.
下山的路无比的漫长,到了营地差不多八点了.我们精疲力竭,但是很开心.这一天我们走了25K.
回到家后居然发现非哥在对着山景饮茶呢.真是不改大侠本色啊,那份气定神闲那是我们这些初出茅庐的菜鸟能比的.

第四天下山无话题.没怎么照相,默默的走路.心里想的只是ICECREAM 和COCA COLA. 路漫长无比.到了终点我们都快走崩溃了.

On the way back, Cat asked me an interesting question. She said we have walked about 75k in four days, for that distance you can finish in one hour by car. Why is the hiking then? Is that worthy ? I instantly gave her a few practical reasons about good things for hiking, but I am not very satisfied with my answer. Everybody will have their own purposes for hiking, maybe more or less the same. I think the simple way to put it is , and it applies to other things too: Whatever you do, if you feel happy after, then it is worthy.

Picked up Wu Fei 大哥大 and Dada at 6am and on hwy #1 right on schedule. Traffic was very light and we reached Robson Meadows campground around 4pm. Checked in the camp site and went to Jasper for dinner while waiting for The Cat to show up together with Dave and Todd.

Bridge Card Game inside the cabin after the dinner. I was pretty dead tired after 8 hours+ of driving but glad we could use the cabin as a base camp.

Came across Ranger Ann and she kindly advised us to start early to take advantage of the morning cool temp.

Second and third nite at Berg Lake Campsite. 544m elevation gain and 9.7km

Woke up at 5am and started hiking at around 7ish. The sky was a bit cloudy which helped to hike up to Emperor Falls.

Arrived at Berg Lake Campsite at Noon with any further delay! Had lunch and hiked up to Mmm Basin via Toboggan Falls. Didn't take any photos coz I was busy fighting off bugs!!
