可以用car camping的帐篷.
BP bag不一定要用.

但上山徒步時:
一定要帶水,
有防熊噴射劑, 最好帶上.

第一天有機會上山看夜景時,要帶頭燈.
第二天上山有5至6個小時, 要帶食物.

過美國境不要帶生肉,水果,蔬菜, 在美國購買.

最重要帶相機. :wink:

Snow free 7 miles, then blocking snow just before the lake. Limited parking and difficult turnaround at this point. Road not maintained for passenger vehicles beyond mile 4.5. High clearance necessary, 4-wheel drive recommended.

Snow free 7 miles, then blocking snow just before the lake. Limited parking and difficult turnaround at this point. Road not maintained for passenger vehicles beyond mile 4.5. High clearance necessary, 4-wheel drive recommended.

I checked with the Visitor Centre, high clearance vehicles can make all the way to the parking lot.

I wouldn't suggest you to drive with a low clearance vehicle on that gravel road. It's narrow & no way to return if you can't make it.

I'm waiting for volunteer drivers with high clearance vehicles & need to check with other people. Unfortunately I can only take 12 pp & you are the # 13. If someone drops out, then you can fill the spot. Will let you know by Thursday.

預足夠時間過關。淨行車時間:
從Vancouver到Abbotsord邊境約1小時。從Sumas到Glacier Info Centre約45分鐘。

Driving directions from Vancouver to Glacier Info Centre:
1. Take TRANS CANADA HWY EAST

2.Take exit #92/ABBOTSFORD/MISSION/SUMAS USA toward SUMAS/USA go 0.4 km

3.Turn LEFT on SUMAS WAY(HWY-11) go 3.1 km

4.Bear RIGHT on DOUGLAS ST go 0.3 km

5.Continue on CHERRY ST(WA-9) go 1.1 km

6.Turn LEFT on WA-547 go 1.3 km

7.Turn RIGHT on WA-547 go 16.1 km

8.Continue on MT BAKER HWY(WA-542) go 16.7 km

9. Turn RIGHT on RAILROAD AVE go 0.2 km

10. Glacier Info Centre located at milepost 34

Driving directions from Glacier Info Centre to trailhead:
1. From Info Centre go east on HWY 542 to milepost 46.3 and Twin Lakes Road (FR
3065)

2. Just past the Dept. of Transportation maintainence facility, left turn onto
Twin Lakes Road.

3. Continue for 4.5 miles to the Yellow Aster Butte trailhead.

4. Continue for 2.5 miles to the trailhead between Twin Lakes.

幾點提示:

1. 營地沒有野餐桌, 可帶一張摺合的塑膠picnic table。
2. 多帶幾gallon水飲用, 做飯, 洗臉, 刷牙....
3. 想食BBQ晚餐, 自備BBQ爐及propane。
4. 要帶三腳架及相機拍日出, 日落。
5. 我們會帶一汽燈公用。
