Treeline Danger Rating: High. Very dangerous avalanche conditions. ...Storm snow weaknesses may be triggered naturally (loading from new snow and wind) or by the weight of a person. .."

Hiking a regular tourist trail just next to the large city may produce false sense of security when it is not. No need to go far for an example: Grouse Grind fatal avalanche accident happened on a popular regular tourist path, and technically speaking within city limits.
