I am not sure, because you never said what specifically you are looking for, except title "Looking for GPS deal". If I guess it correctly (and I may be wrong) you want practical reliable hand-held GPS device for outdoor use, no? Then the answer probably would be yes, this is a good deal, provided the seller gives you original user manual, software and cables and proves it is in working condition. I am not in need to promote anything, but I do own exact same model and have been using it in all my trips, including China. I wish the unit was a bit smaller, a bit lighter and a bit faster. But humans are never going to be happy in principal, so I can be content with what I have. And I am. Of course, extra $200 will give you the product warranty, right to exchange and peace of mind, so after all it is your personal choice to make.
By the way, if you decide to buy this one and he is missing something from original packaging, like CD, manual, belt clip or a cable you can drop the price to $50. The most important is CD but many friends in the club use the same software and can share it with you I am sure. Cables are standard USB, no problem to get them elsewhere. 8) |
