A great way to spend a rainy day in winter is to read about some of the great
trips that others have done. Sure many of us have done overnighters, maybe even
5 days or a week, but few of us have probably hiked longer trails than that. The
logistics of longer trips are more complex since it's not possible to carry food
for 10 days or more. Then there the trips into country where there are no
trails, where you're entirely reliant on your map, Google Earth and
terrain-reading skills.
Over the next few newsletters we're going to be featuring a few epic trips that
have caught our eye. The first in the series is a truly epic 33-day trip across
Wrangell and St Elias National Parks in Alaska:
