Home Work - Using Climbing Commands

Because the trip essentially became technical, here is a subset of voice commands that will be used. Please take time to memorize them, so we save time on the mountain.

Climbing commands are standard phrases or single words that allow a climbing team to function smoothly and safely.

“On belay” is the first climbing command used by a climbing team at the base of a route as well as at both the beginning and end of a pitch higher up the cliff. http://climbing.about.com/od/cliimbingtechniques/a/OnBelay.htm

“Climbing” is a verbal climbing command that means “I am starting to climb now.” http://climbing.about.com/od/cli ... /ClimbingVoiCom.htm

“Climb on” is a verbal climbing command that means “I have heard you’re ready to climb, so go ahead and climb now.”
http://climbing.about.com/od/cli ... /ClimbOnCommand.htm

“Off belay” OR "I am safe"  OR "Secure" is a climbing command that means “I am safe and you can take me off belay.”
http://climbing.about.com/od/cli ... OffBelayCommand.htm

“Belay off” is a climbing command that means “I no longer have you on belay because you have told me ‘Off belay’ and you are safe.”
http://climbing.about.com/od/climbingcommands/a/OffBelay.htm

"It's me" - this command will be explained on the mountain.

waiting的太久了,呵呵
今晚有足球比赛,必须去。
所以明天的活动参加不了了,预祝一切顺利。

这个夏天很纠结,都是周五有比赛。
要上山,必须舍弃一个...
