Bike&Hike to Mt. Bishop from Seymour valley(May.11)

在Seymour River上靠近大坝的地方建了一座新桥, 从west side trail爬Mt. Bishop就变得比以前方便多了. 在水泥路上骑大约一个多小时的车就能过桥到达trailhead.

难度: 中等, 拔高:1200米
大多数人都能在10小时内完成. Trail一直到vicar lake都有很好的标记, 每个月都有人去维护. Trail比较steep但都是在树林里, steep的地方都有handline.

装备: 传统dayhiking装备 + snowshoes

这是计划:

1. 6:30am 在Lynn Headwater Park Gate 外集合, 把车停在gate外.

2. 1hr-1.5hr 骑自行车从rice lake road到Seymour Valley road, follow Seymour Valley road(水泥马路)到seymour Lake dam.

3. 锁好车, 开始从trailhead爬bishop (follow well marked trail).

4. 4.5hr - 5hr from trailhead to summit

5. 1pm, 下山

6. 4pm - 5pm, 回到trailhead

7. 5pm - 6:30pm, bike back to car

yes, snowshoes are required. Elevation gain is about 1200M

The road is good. Late march I was there biking to the Dam, snow were cleared. Enjoy the ride!
