計劃週六 - 週日做day hiking或backpacking, 週一在加拿大慶祝國慶。 地點在研究中, 做好功課會盡快公佈詳情。

現決定汽車露營 + 兩個day hiking。由於八人分三車從溫哥華 / 西雅圖出發, 加上長週末前夕, 很難準確地預計到在美園的碰頭時間, Colonial營地不接受預訂, 不想到時才發現無處容身, 會改住接受預訂在SR 2 MP 120的Newhalem或Rockport的Howard Millers Steelhead Park。正在等Howard Millers的回覆, 要遲兩天才可發佈營地訊息。

最新雪況報告, 4500呎以下雪全融化, 5900呎以上還有積雪, 請大家帶備小冰爪。週六早上會到Ranger Station詢問最新trail condition。

以下Day hike地點在考慮之列:
Cascade Pass - high point 5400 ft, gain 1800ft, round trip 7.4 miles

Thornton Lakes / Trappers Peak - high point 5964 ft, gain 3364 ft, round trip 9.4 miles

Thunder Creek / Fourth of July Pass / Panther Creek

Short ones -
Stetalle Creek, Ruby Creek, Pyramid Lake

Jinsi, Gloria和小C - 負責其他BBQ食物, 薯片, 沙律
LuLu & Jinsi - 帶BBQ爐

This Cascade is under NP and all reservations are online. Newhalem has a reservation, Loop C, including a group one, $32. Individual one is $12 per night. If u concern the availability, I can book for us, either individual or group. Meanwhile the Colonial one should be available as long as it is not long wknd. It is your call and I accomplish either one.

There was one of two group sites available and it was taken in the last hr. No more group site.

It's hard to look for the group if we don't know the early birds' whereabouts, that's why I want to make a reservation.  Hang on the booking with Newhalem as I want to camp at  Howard Millers.  I love the shower facility there.  Messages & emails were left with the Park Manager but I've got no reply yet.  Let me follow up the campground issue.

已訂了在Newhalem Campground住兩個晚上(週五check in & 週日check out)。 三個營地在C Loop, 營地號碼 #70, #71 & #72。我會把reservation confirmation發給司機, 自已可以自行到營地報到, 沒有時間限制。

To reach the North Cascades, drive State Route 20, the North Cascades Highway, from Burlington on the west or Twisp on the east. Newhalem Campground is located at Mile Marker 120 on State Route 20.
