距离Victoria: ~350公里单程
建议carpool: $30

地点: 温哥华岛中部Strathcona Provencial Park - Bedwell lake area.
人數: 限8人

參加者基本要求：

團隊精神 - 共进共退，友爱互助 。分工合作，有FUN同享。

责任与备注:

1. 户外活动有风险，一切组织和活动属自愿，责任自负。
2. 一切計劃會跟據當時天氣, 環境作靈活變動, 隊友應跟隨整體行進, 不可單獨行動。
3. 一定要三人一組結伴同行。每組備對講機一部, 否則每組定要保持在視線範圍之內。


集合时间：6:20AM Horseshoe Bay Ferry -> 8:00 arriving Nanaimo
集合地点：Nanaimo Departure Bay Ferry Terminal

個人必备装备：
1> 帶備8餐(包括早晚煮食，中午方便餐)+ snack +extra food
2> 煮食工具/炉头／气/餐具
3> HIKING BOOTS (再另外加双备用干净鞋子）
4> 2升水 + water filter
5> 手套+Hat+extra socks (必備)
6> 御寒保暖衣服 Down Jacket+fleece(必備)
7> 防雨防风又透气外套和防雪(水)裤子
8> 睡垫,睡袋,帐篷
9> 头灯/手电筒
10> backpacking背包及rain cover

個人建议装备：
11> 防晒霜+ sun glass
12> Gaiter,防湿鞋湿裤又能防脏
14> 登山杖
15> 防水贮藏袋
16> 相機
17> 个人清洁卫生用品，如牙刷牙膏湿巾纸面巾厕纸等

是啊，时间过得好快啊。05-06年的时候倒是基本隔周就会见面的，好怀念那些日子。

车不用担心，Islandld也会开一辆车，所以你们大家都walk-on就好了，我们到码头接你们。

目前首选是Bedwell/Cream Lake trail，这是我列的三个trail里唯一要收camping fee ($10/person/night)的，有点小讨厌。记得我以前的research是刚好在收费区外一点有campsite，风景/位置什么的都很好，唯一的问题是比较远，不知道能不能走到（报名的都是大侠，应该没问题。关键是我自己的体力 :oops: ）

June 17, 2013:
Bedwell Lakes Trail is snow free from trailhead to the first steel staircase
(past the 4 Sisters bridges). Upper section of trail and
campsites not inspected yet. Expect spring conditions with
patches of heavy snow in upper sections and possible
windfall.
Section of trail near trailhead has been temporarily rerouted around windfall (marked with flagging tape).
Windfall and trees currently being cleared.
Road up to trailhead is in good condition. Four-wheel drive
vehicles are recommended

Bedwell Lake: Length, 6 km. Suggested time, 3.5 hours. Elevation change: 600 metres. Trail starts from Jim Mitchell Lake Road. Camping in designated areas only, but no campfires are permitted. This hike includes some excellent viewpoints. Routes to Cream Lake and Bedwell Sound depart from this area.

Price Creek/Cream Lake: Length, 8.5 km. Suggested time, 7 hours. Elevation change: 1,200 metres. Trail starts from the south end of Buttle Lake, following a gravel road for the first 3 km. A rough trail follows the main valley another 7.3 km where it crosses Price Creek and deteriorates into a very steep, rough route to Cream Lake.

我们第一天应该会超过Bedwell Lake campground. 理想的情况是走过Cream Lake到收费区外（不光是因为收费，风景也更好，第二天explore的机会也更多）。如果不行，应该可以在Cream Lake的Random camping区camping。但第二天就有一个是否拔营的问题。

我们不会从Price Creek出发到Cream Lake，而是从Bedwell Lake Trail head出发。所以到Cream Lake的拔高应该是比上面的1200m 米少。

我家Ld可以接送包括我在内的4 ppl来去到horseshoe bay，我们这里的集合地点可以在西温教堂，camping费用没有问题。谢谢qq和伊万mm来接，省去轮渡汽车的费用 :lol:

找到了当年的计划：

计划：第一天到Big Interior Mountain冰川脚下camping。地图上没有标，大概是在little Jim Lake往下（南）一点fee collection zone之外一点点。
如果campground好的话，就不搬了，第二天day hiking到Cream Lake和Mt Septimus。如想搬的话到以上地点camping。 这样的好处是能看到很多不同的风景

备用计划是第一晚到地图上的bedwell Lake camping。

I always wanted to go visit the beautiful Strathcona Provincial Park even when I lived in Victoria in the 80's.  Thanks for organizing, this may be the time to realize my wish.
