.. Professionals are expressing particular concern for the combination of buried facets on a crust being unusually reactive at treeline and below...

A widespread avalanche cycle to size 2.5 was observed on Wednesday. The storm slabs failed on a variety of aspects and elevations. In at least one case, an avalanche was triggered remotely from a distance of 30m. This speaks to the highly touchy nature of the current instability.

我决定不去这次HKING 了。  

HIKING 是为了锻炼身体和长见识，不是为了冒险。   

我感觉有很大的冒险因素在里面，我就不去了。建议你们也别去了。

Avalanche is too high, even treeline on Saturday.
That's why I removed my posting last night right after I checked the avalanche forecast. Although BCMC is my last choice always, I have never hiked BCMC more than 5 times a year, but I will go to BCMC on Sunday.

The total snow to 72cm (28 in) in the last 7 days in Whistler. It's going to get over 50 cm (20 in) of snow in the weekend forecast. It may become difficult even drive to the lower parking lot without 4*4.

没去是对的. 昨天下午2点左右, Mt Blackcomb 上的7th Heaven风雪交加. 风大的人站不稳，雪大的看不清路. 5pm 左右的Squamish又是风雨交加. 如果去了，正是回程时间. 气候之恶劣，根本不是坐在家里能想象出来的.
