from bridge up chains highly recomended. the last 1000 of deep compact snow and ice got soft around noon as temps warmed up and even with 4 wheels chained up it was hard driving to parking lot. Then some vehicles were sliding around on ice then digging into compact 8 inches deep.

Snow and rain mix at lot for some time many parts of the road lower down are getting very soft Please spread your tracks out so rain water does not run down ruts and wreck the road.. Have fun.

Warm temps have lots of rains coming down Lake crossings are coverd in wet slush and water. It could be raining as high as steele or close to it. Road is wet deep slush last 1000ft is real bad like driving in deep sand not traction hard driving with chains on. Lots of ice under slush on road from bridge up. Hard to get out of some ruts.. If warm temps and rain keep up road will be bare in 3-4 days. Creeks are running hard lots of water coming off the banks and slopes. Cross ditches must be getting soft and wet.

Tet park very warm and wet Raining last 2 days at Edwards and Bachelor. Road up is wet deep slushy and soft compact last 1000ft very tough going with chains on. Must be 8-12 inches deep like driving in dry sand no traction and you sink. 3-4 days of this and road could be bare. Very wet Be prepared Have fun stay safe

Hi Gloria good to hear from you Maybe could you post on Suncoastcentral.com asking for info from up in the Tet and Steele cabin etc. Iknow there was at least 7 people up there last week and not 1 has posted any info.. 1 guy has been up there by himself for 7 days at least The road was plowed by a grader a week ago must have cost the Tet club around $1200 road still had deep soft compact on the last 1000ft of the road.. If rain keeps up it might be bare in 3-4 days as snow was melting fast. From reports I managed to pry from people there has to be 10-12 ft of snow at steele cabin should be tons more but at least there is that. I am hoping the school group I transported up to the parking lot and brought down on thursday will post info from there trip to Edwards and Bachelor. They did say there was lots of rain water and slush on top of lakes ice. So like always best to use own judgement on ice crossings and could be very wet boots. There were a few members of the Tet club up to Steele but they all tend to keep info a big secret. I ran my snow mobile up and down the trail to summer lot to pack it down for the school group and others to make it easier to snow shoe up, As people always follow same tracks and make narrow path Lets hope people start sharing info.. I miss plowing the road but feel much less stress from dangerous drivers etc.

如果天气不是太冷（>-9度），我会考虑住帐篷。

雪链有尺寸的，用之前最好核对一下与你的车轮是否配套。

雪季住小木屋的选择太太有限了，真诚建议喜欢雪季hiking的朋友试试雪地露营--干净舒适可以选择backpacking的地方太多了（也可以随时灵活选择扎营），如果是share一个双人帐(e.g.最新的MSR Hubba Hubba双人三季帐才1.72kg, 分享帐蓬也更暖和一些更收拾快捷些)，每人也就多背二三磅(吃的东西从简一些不是必需的东西也可以减少些，重量就省出来了)....
