This very short early spring weather window we have been recently experiencing is ideal to hike numerous local routes and enjoy viewing (still) snow covered hills. Suddenly anything become possible. Too soon the snow will become soft and start melting, but for now even low elevations ~1,000 m the surface still maintains below zero temperature making it perfect for snow travel. This year's low accumulation help it to make avalanche levels low too. Be safe! 8)

that's true, North shore Avy Danger Ratings has been low for a while, even last weekend, it was low while anywhere else was high/considerable, this weekend is low too (treeline & below treeline, no rating for alpine)

North Shore division is strange these days: Brunswick , Harvey are North Shore ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Shore_Mountains ) but avalanche people ( http://www.avalanche.ca/cac/bulletins/latest ) believe they are Sea-To-Sky. So, occasionally, Harvey tourist trail may be marked as Considerable, even that it is entirely below tree line, but Crown will be in "Low" avy danger everywhere. Logic?
