Directions
From Pemberton, drive North on Highway 99 to Mount Currie, where you turn right toward Lillooet. Follow the highway toward Duffey Lake and past Jofre Lake Provincial Park. You will soon pass a transportation ministry weather station, followed shortly after by a green salt shed (both on your right) and a road closure gate. The salt shed and gate mark the start of the south facing Mt. Rohr (on your left) avalanche run-out zone and is marked by "No Stopping - Avalanche Zone" signs. Keep driving into this run-out zone and pull off the road after the first no-stopping zone ends. There will be a large area on the right side of the road ploughed out for parking, and you will see a valley opening up on the right hand side of the road. This is the Cerise Creek watershed. Beware that this TH gets extremely busy in the winter so arrive early and make sure you have a Plan "B" objective if parking is unavailable.
Note that there is a summer route and a winter route. For the summer route take a right after the first foot bridge creek crossing and do not cross any more creeks. For the winter route take a left after the first creek crossing and cross the 2nd bridge. |
