.....................Here a few easy ways I’ve kept the charge up while in the field:

Reduce backlight brightness.
Close applications when finished. Don’t let them run in the background.
Avoid ‘Guide Me’ options that require full time tracking.
Stay warm. Colder phones drain faster.
Keep the phone from searching for cell service.
