Conway Peak(1995m):

A minor rock bump which forms the easternmost outcropping of the Cheam Range. Conway is, unlike the rest of the Cheam summits, composed of Chilliwack Batholith granodiorite; the contact runs between Conway and Foley. The summit offers great views of the main peaks in the Cheam Range.

參加者基本要求：
團隊精神 - 共進共退，友爱互助。

責任與備註:
1. 戶外活動有風險，一切組織和活動屬自願，責任自負。

2. 一切計劃會跟據當時天氣, 環境作靈活變動, 隊友應跟隨整體行進, 不可單獨行動。

3. 一定要三人一組結伴同行。每組備對講機一部, 否則每組定要保持在視線範圍之內。

司機注意: 如閣下持有Novice牌(Class 7), 除非在一名年滿25歲持有Class 1 - 5的人仕陪同, 否則只可接載一名乘客, 也一定是掛上"N"字標誌。請參閱 ICBC網站

對講機頻道：6-6（6主频道，6子频道）

必备装备：
1> lunch & snacks
2> 防水Hiking boots +Gaiter+Microspike+雪鞋
3> 2升水 (better to bring some hot water in the themos)
4> 一對手套+hat
5> quick dry base layer 和一套御寒保暖衣服(e.g. fleece/down jacket)
6> 防雨防风外套
7> 头灯/手电筒
8> Day hiking背包及rain cover
9> 防晒霜
10>墨鏡
11> Gaiters,防雪防湿鞋湿裤又能防脏
12> 哨子
13> 登山杖
14> 雨具

一些注意事项：

需要CARPOOL的朋友准备两双鞋（一双是登山鞋），在开始Hiking前和结束后，换上干净的鞋，这样省去车主打扫车内卫生，谢谢！还可以再准备一双备用的袜子。爬完山，能让脚舒服一下也是种享受 .

手套很有用, 保暖防寒, 要防水／快干的, 建议备两双.

想来想去还是决定爬Mt. Conway，一些些bushwacking和倒树我们能应付，也是经历! 从2wd parking到4wd parking，单程要走40分钟，热切欢迎四驱车司机踊跃报名 :lol:

I think this is the part Dru is talking about... probably worse now... this was June 2014... definitely 4x4 required past this part as it is also followed by a series of water bars ...

I was able to cross another rocky creek area prior to this in my low clearance vehicle so any normal 2wd vehicle can make it this far... I would say it added about 40 minutes extra each way.

Hey Gloria,

The road is washed out about 1 km north of Flat Creek. You can drive through this washout if you have a high-clearance 4wd, but it's harder coming back. I was up there 2 weeks ago and nearly got my work truck stuck.

You'll be hiking from Flat Creek anyway. Plan on an all-day ascent to Conway and back. Expect alder growth on the old road and a fair bit of blowdown.

Snowline is around 1400 -1500 m.

上周去过的Dru和去年十一月份去的muskeeto 回复，说是一般的四驱都能开到四驱的parking, 我们现场看路况，不必勉强，开到哪算哪，反正之2wd parking到4wd parking间的距离也就45分钟左右的行走时间, 现在路况应该比我们2009年去时好(看了一些TRs后的感觉)

Just about any 4wd will make it past the cabins and to the washout described above. The main issues to look out for are deep potholes and puddles.

There has been a lot of active logging north of the lake so the road may be rutted and/or muddy there but there won't be any cross ditches or water bars.
