Family Hike: Sunshine Meadows Loops (July 9)

Hello my friends,

You are invited to hike Sunshine Meadows with your kids on this coming Saturday (July 9). The Sunshine Meadows are known by many as the most stunning alpine setting in the Canadian Rockies. All of the trails are suitable for children and are easy to get around.

We will ride the Gondola from the Sunshine Village parking lot to the trailheads located at Sunshine Village. The cost of Gondola round trip is $39 per adult and $21 per child. I recommend to buy tickets from online so that you can ride the Standish Chairlift for free (Save $13 for adults or $7 for children). Below is the link for online ticket purchase:

Elevation gain: 300m
Trail distance: 10.8km round trip
Hiking time: around 3 hours
Cost: Round trip Gondola with free Standish Express ticket ($39 per adult and $21 per child)
Difficulty: This is a well-maintained official trail and is popular for family and children without any issues.

What to wear for kids: Please bring sun cream and sunhat for your kids. Hiking boots are highly recommended for kids, otherwise a pair of sturdy and comfortable shoes is a must. Also please bring extra warm/waterproof coats in case of weather change.

Food to bring: lots of water, delicious fruits and snacks for kids.

Meeting Time: 11am on Saturday noon (July 9)
Meeting location:  Sunshine ticket office which is located at the parking lot base of the Sunshine Village ski area.
