Elaho Main:
From Squamish, follow the Squamish Main to milepost 37. Turn left onto the Elaho Main and immediately cross bridge over the upper Squamish River.
E300 (Maude Frickert Road)
Condition: Active logging road
General Route: Switchbacks up to the east side of Maude Frickert Creek then goes north above the creek. Maude Frickert Creek is the creek which drains Blanca Lake.
Road Plan: Elaho River Roads
How to Find: From Squamish, drive up the Squamish Main then the Elaho Main for just over 5 km and turn right onto the spur at milepost 41.
Short Description: The road switchbacks up the slopes, with quite a bit of up and down. It crosses the old E300 road at several points, and replaces the old road. There are numerous branches.
1:50,000 map shows a red line which is close to the lower portion of the road to about 1800', then the new road switchbacks 1 km southeast then crosses over the old road again at 2400'. But the new road goes at least 3 km further N than the old road.
"Maude Frickert" is Johathan Winters most famous comedy character.
